For forty-seven years, Canon Williams, an Episcopal priest, has served as a college chaplain, rector, archdeacon, and educator in different parts of the Anglican Communion. His international work includes leadership consultancy in the Caribbean, Central America, the Philippines, England, Ghana, Japan, and the United States of America. He was the Coordinator of Children's Ministries (1988 -1996) and Coordinator of Christian Education (1990 – 1996) for the Episcopal church. In addition to his work to advance health equity in Brooklyn, NY, he is a member of the board for the St. Luke's Housing Development Fund Corp and a speaker for Food For The Poor, Inc. This Florida-based charity seeks to restore dignity to the dispossessed in seventeen Caribbean and Central American countries. Dr. Williams has always championed marginalized persons through community involvement. He founded the St. Stephen's Ceramics Industry Project in the Turks and Caicos Islands and hosted a weekly "national developmental issue" radio show. As Chairman of the Denmark Community Theater, Inc., he promoted community building through drama. In Columbia, SC, he was a board member of Sistercare, Inc., a shelter for abused women, and worked with Habitat for Humanity. Canon Williams was Board Chairman for The Parenting for Peace and Justice Network, Inc., an international organization based in St. Louis, MO, Vice President, Episcopal Charities, Diocese of Long Island, and board chairman of St. Augustine's Children, Youth and Family Center Inc., Brooklyn. He worked tirelessly to bring the New York Police Department (NYPD) and the community together; he was a Clergy Liaison to the NYPD and a board member of the 67 Precinct Clergy Council. He helped facilitate the Safe Surrender Program in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Canon Williams has led groups in international travel/study from the United States to Jamaica, Mexico, Costa Rica, Ghana, and some European and Asian Countries. He holds the following diplomas: Licentiate in Theology, University of the West Indies (1974), Master of Arts, Princeton Theological Seminary (1983), and Doctor of Ministry, Graduate Theological Foundation (2007) Dr. Williams has received several honors, citations, and awards. Some are from: the Girl Scouts of America, The 67th Precinct of the NYPD, Church Women's United of Brooklyn, Brooklyn Borough President, the New York City Council, the New York State Assembly, and the New York State Senate. He is the author of two books, Shepherd or Wolf: Team Leadership for the 21 st Century Church and Vultures and Violin. He is a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity
